About Us

The Ardzroonis have been farming grapes in California since the late 1880s. In 1989, Paul Ardzrooni moved his family to Mendocino County’s Anderson Valley. Over the next years, Paul established himself as a world class grape grower, as well as a successful fisherman.

Paul’s passion for grapes, wine, and the bounties that nature provides has passed along to his children. His daughter Genni has followed in the path of wine while his son Greg has taken up commercial fishing and farming.

Nearly 25 years after arriving in Anderson Valley, the Ardzroonis have finally decided to take on winemaking. With quality grapes grown by Paul and with Genni heading the winemaking program, they aim to produce small lots of high quality wines from grapes they grow in the Anderson Valley Region. Their approach to winemaking is hands-off, and they believe that starting with great fruit is the secret to making wines that express the characters of this unique, cool-climate growing region. 2012 marks the first vintage for Ardzrooni Family Wines!
